Peace of mind, in writing
3-Year Workmanship Warranty
Colorado's summers and winters are hard on a finish. That's why every project comes with a written three-year workmanship warranty. Here's how it works, in plain language.
The short version
If a problem shows up within three years that was caused by how we prepped or applied the paint or stain, we'll come back, inspect it and make it right.
What's covered
- Peeling, blistering or cracking caused by our surface preparation (within the prep we were hired to do) or by our application
- Runs, sags, missed spots ("holidays"), thin coverage, or drips, spatter or overspray we left behind
- Color, texture or sheen that isn't uniform because of how we applied it
We judge finished work the way the Painting Contractors Association (PCA) does: viewed without magnification from about 3 feet (1 meter) away, under finished lighting, from a normal viewing position.
What isn't covered
- Materials: manufacturer or product defects. Any manufacturer warranty passes through to you, and we'll help where we reasonably can.
- Damage by others: impacts, scuffs, pets, other trades, remodeling, or anyone not on our crew
- Hidden or underlying problems: moisture or leaks, rot, structural movement or settling, and hidden substrate or prior-coating issues that weren't visible at the start
- Normal weathering: ordinary sun fading, chalking and aging on exterior surfaces
- Deep or bold colors: sheen or color variation that comes with deep tones or touch-up batches, when disclosed
- Maintenance and repairs by others: improper cleaning, pressure washing, or repairs and recoating done without our written okay
- Severe weather and events beyond our control: hail, floods, fire, vandalism and similar events
- Anything outside the project scope listed on your warranty certificate
How to make a claim
- Email paintingmiracles101@gmail.com within 30 days of noticing the issue (and before the warranty expires). Include your name, project address or reference, a short description of where and what, and photos if you can.
- We'll schedule an inspection, ordinarily within about 14 business days (weather, access and scheduling permitting).
- If it's a covered workmanship issue, we'll repair or recoat the affected area to the PCA standard. In some cases we may instead offer a fair pro-rated credit for the affected area.
Good to know: coverage starts on the date shown on your warranty certificate and runs for three years. The warranty applies once the project is paid in full, stays with the original owner unless we agree otherwise in writing, and repairs don't restart the three-year clock. Regular care (see your care sheet) helps your finish last.
This page is a plain-language summary and isn't the warranty itself. The signed Limited Three-Year Workmanship Warranty and your warranty certificate control and include the complete terms, conditions and limitations.
